What gets deleted

When you request deletion we immediately hide your profile and clear the personal fields on it (name, email, photo, bio, languages, companies). Your request is logged with a 30-day grace window: during those 30 days the deletion can be reversed if you contacted us by mistake or your account was compromised. After the window a daily job permanently removes your account — your sign-in, profile, push tokens, private messages, and personal data are erased, and any forum or job posts you left behind are detached from you and re-attributed to an anonymous "former member" so conversations other guides relied on don't break.

Some records must be kept for a limited period for legal reasons (e.g. billing/invoice records under German tax law) — see the Data Retention Policy. These are not used for anything except meeting those obligations.

Option 1 — Delete in the app (fastest)

Open Guild → ProfileEdit profileDelete account, and confirm. You'll be signed out and the 30-day window starts straight away.

Option 2 — Delete here on the web

Sign in with the same email and password you use in the app and submit your deletion request. This is the route to use if you no longer have the app installed.

Your account has been scheduled for deletion. You have 30 days to change your mind — email hello@guild.guide from this address to cancel. After that the deletion is permanent.

Option 3 — Email us

If you can't sign in, email hello@guild.guide from the address on your account with the subject "Account deletion request". We'll verify it's you and process the deletion, normally within a few days.
